Sarah M. Place, MBA, is Founder & CEO of Place Trade Financial, Inc. Member FINRA, SIPC. The firm is regulated by FINRA. the U.S. SEC, MSRB, NFA, and CFTC. She has more than thirty years of experience in financial services, with expertise in economics, financial markets, brokerage operations, and personal finance.
She founded Place Trade Financial, Inc. to provide both full-service investment support and online brokerage capabilities within a regulated broker-dealer structure. Her work has focused on market structure, investor behavior, portfolio strategy, and access to multi-asset investment platforms.
Sarah has been quoted or featured in national media including Barron's Magazine, CNBC.com, Forbes.com, Bankrate.com, Consumer Reports Magazine, Consumer Reports Money Advisor, SmartMoney — The Wall Street Journal Magazine, Yahoo! Finance, and other outlets covering markets, investing, and personal finance.
She has been recognized for professional achievement and community involvement, including receiving the Good Samaritan Award and being named a Women in Business honoree by the Triangle Business Journal.
Sarah has served in leadership and board roles with community and educational organizations, including the North Carolina Council on Economic Education and Kids Voting North Carolina and Wake County. Her additional community involvement has included Leadership Raleigh, the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, and participation with organizations supporting education, health, and community initiatives.
Sarah holds an MBA from St. Mary’s University Graduate School of Business. She also completed graduate studies in finance at the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics & Finance from Bentley University.
